“I see myself as a leader becauseā¦. OJCYF has given me the opportunity to be a leader. The opportunity OJCYF has presented allows me to test my skills and use my abilities to help the Jewish community.” - Danielle Spring, Senior, 4th year in OJCYF
Oregon Jewish Community Youth Foundation (OJCYF) is a program designed to secure the future of Jewish philanthropy and to develop a strong generation of future Jewish leaders. Students experience what it is like to serve on a board and experience the challenges and rewards of philanthropy.
OJCYF is special in that it fully entrusts the decision-making of how the money they’ve raised will be spent to its teen members. Every dollar raised goes back into the community. In 2008, OJCYF was recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Oregon and SW Washington Chapter as the most outstanding innovative philanthropy project in Oregon.
“I have been very proud of the personal work that I have been able to do through OJCYF but even more proud of the accomplishments we have made as a group.” - Michael Brock, Junior, 3rd year in OJCYF
