LIFE & LEGACY
OJCF is dedicated to securing the future of Jewish Oregon and Southwest Washington through the LIFE & LEGACY initiative, in partnership with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. The program provides participating Jewish organizations with training, mentoring, marketing and incentive grants to support legacy gift development. LIFE & LEGACY supplements existing foundation services for individuals and family philanthropy, partner organizations and the professional investment of philanthropic funds.
The community completed its fourth successful year in the LIFE & LEGACY planned giving program in February 2018. Nevertheless, OJCF continues to be committed to providing legacy education and support to the ten participating LIFE & LEGACY organizations and all of its partner organizations.
The following organizations are OJCF’s partners in LIFE & LEGACY:
The original participating organizations:
Cedar Sinai Park
Congregation Beth Israel
Congregation Neveh Shalom
Congregation Shaarie Torah

Julie Diamond z"l Legacy Society
The Julie Diamond z"l Legacy Society honors the individuals and families who have made legacy promises to our Jewish community. These wonderful and generous donors have arranged for after-lifetime gifts through their will, trust, retirement account, life insurance policy, or another planned giving vehicle. Their gift may benefit the foundation directly or be invested by the foundation for the benefit of another organization.
The legacy society is named for Julie Diamond z"l who served OJCF from 2007 until her retirement as President & CEO in June 2021. Julie passed away soon after her retirement. When Julie developed the legacy society in 2009, it had 12 members. It has grown in no small part because of her passion and leadership.
We invite you to join these individuals and families in becoming a part of the Julie Diamond z"l Legacy Society. If you have already remembered OJCF in your will or estate plan, please let us know. For information on how you can become a member please contact David Forman.
